Karena Lam approaches Jacky Cheung for new movie

23 Jun - Hong Kong singer-actor Jacky Cheung will be reunited with Karena Lam in the upcoming film, "Heaven in the Dark".

According to Oriental Daily News, the movie, which is also the directorial debut of Karena's husband Steve Yuen, stars the actor as a pastor who will have a chance at romance with Karena Lam's character.

The two of them have worked together 13 years ago in "July Rhapsody". Karena was also featured in Jacky's music video last year, "Tears of Time".

The actress revealed that she originally approached Jacky for the role after reading the script, saying that she found the character suited him perfectly.

Jacky finally said yes to the film after learning that Steve Yuen will be directing.

"Heaven in the Dark" will also co-star Michelle Wai, Catherine Chau, and Wong Hei. Anthony Wong will make a guest appearance as Jacky's attorney.
