When Randall Tan, brand manager of Gruma (Mission Foods) Singapore was searching for a new office location and came across KLOUD Keppel Bay Tower, “We knew immediately that this was the right place for us,” he says.

In addition to its prime location at HarbourFront, the added attraction for Gruma (Mission Foods) is its breathtaking views of Mount Faber and the sea, cosy and yet professional ambience with facilities such as the private room, the study and boardroom. “We knew immediately that we wanted to be part of this place,” says Tan.

Gruma (Mission Foods) Singapore’s representative office currently has two people at KLOUD Keppel Bay Tower, who are responsible for developing both the food service and retail businesses in Singapore and Malaysia. The company, which is part of a global food manufacturing company Mission Foods Corp, one of the world’s biggest producers of tortillas, intends to use the office as a base to expand into the rest of Southeast Asia.

Flexible space solutions

Launched in March 2017, Keppel Land’s KLOUD is a new generation serviced co-office that leverages technology and caters to companies looking for flexible space solutions. The flagship 18,000 sq ft KLOUD Keppel Bay Tower is located on the 13th floor of Keppel Bay Tower, offering panoramic sea views.

KLOUD offers hot-desks to fully-furnished office suites, catering to individuals and growing companies of up to 20 personnel, and for short or long-term leases. It has attracted start-ups, SMEs and MNCs from a diverse mix of industries such as FMCG, media companies, marine surveyors, wholesale businesses, IT service providers, education services and investment companies.

Through the iOS and Android-enabled KLOUD app, users at KLOUD Keppel Bay Tower can book conference and meeting rooms as well as two private rooms for conference calls, one of which can double as a study and the other as a power nap pod. WiFi is available throughout the centre.

As both landlord and operator of KLOUD Keppel Bay Tower, Keppel Land is able to meet additional space requirements of existing building tenants and incubate new growth businesses before they take up permanent and possibly, longer leases at the office tower.

New facilities in HCMC, Yangon

Users will also be able to scale up their business network via Keppel Land’s Singapore and regional portfolio. By the end of 2017, KLOUD will open at Saigon Centre Tower 2 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam, and Junction City Tower in Yangon, Myanmar. This will bring its total regional serviced c0-office footprint to about 60,000 sq ft.

KLOUD Saigon Centre Tower 2 will be housed within mixed-use development, Saigon Centre in HCMC. Strategically located along Le Loi Boulevard, at the heart of the city’s CBD in the prime District 1, the newly completed Saigon Centre Phase 2 comprises a seven-storey retail podium anchored by Takashimaya department store, 195-unit Sedona Suites serviced apartments and a 37-storey office tower, where the KLOUD serviced co-office centre will be housed when it opens in November.

The future Ben Thanh metro station along Line 2 of the HCMC Metro, which is slated for completion in 2020, will offer added convenience.

Come December, KLOUD members will be able to have access to a third facility at KLOUD Junction City Tower in Yangon when they visit Myanmar. Users can benefit from a plethora of amenities within Junction City itself. Besides Grade-A office space, the mixed-use development also houses a five-star, 336-room Pan Pacific Hotel, a retail and entertainment centre, and in time to come a 260-unit Sedona Suites serviced residences.

With its prime location at the junction of Shwedagon Pagoda Road and Bogyoke Aung San Road in the heart of Yangon’s CBD, Junction City Tower offers easy access to landmarks such as City Hall and Bogyoke Aung San Market, and transportation nodes such as the Yangon Railway Station.

Regional network

KLOUD Saigon Centre Tower 2 and KLOUD Junction City Tower are just the start of Keppel Land’s vision to establish a regional network. Plans are underway to roll-out more KLOUD serviced co-offices in overseas markets where Keppel Land already has a presence, namely China, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Existing members can tap the existing network of KLOUD serviced co-offices without the hassle of sourcing for a new office space. All the KLOUD centres are also located in prime CBD areas which are close to transport nodes and retail amenities in key cities.
