SINGAPORE — The highly anticipated Lego BTS Dynamite pop-up store experience was launched on Friday (7 July) in Singapore, and fans of both Lego and the K-pop sensation BTS turned out in droves to immerse themselves in a world of vibrant colours and interactive activities.

Organised in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA), the immersive pop-up showcase aims to provide an authentic and enjoyable experience for fans, and based on the initial reactions, it has certainly hit the mark.

Rohan Mathur, Marketing Director of Southeast Asia at The Lego Group, expressed his excitement about the overwhelming response.

"The BTS Dynamite Lego set has become the best-seller for this year. We are very happy to create an experience that is quite authentic to the music video. If you are a fan of the band and the song, you will see that all the elements are here. We have made it more authentic and enjoyable, and it's wonderful to see fans embracing it," Mathur said.

Among the first few fans to visit the pop-up store, located in front of Ngee Ann City, was Renee Waiwiri, a 25-year-old BTS fan from New Zealand who has been in Singapore for a working trip.

She expressed her delight at the experience, saying, "Oh, it was really good. I didn't know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. I was worried about the long lines, but I came early, and to my surprise, there were no lines at all. The activities were amazing and engaging."

Riech, a 31-year-old fan, also shared his excitement about the pop-up store.

"I am a huge fan, and my family loves BTS too. My father even loves the song 'Dynamite.' I will definitely come back again with my family to check it out," he said.

Even tourists like Alvin from Indonesia were impressed, who remarked, "It's quite nice. I've never experienced anything similar to this before."

The pop-up store is divided into three zones, each offering unique attractions and photo opportunities. In the Lego BTS Big Builds Stage, fans can take pictures with life-size Lego mini-figures of their favourite BTS members, created using more than 161,000 Lego bricks.

The Open Courtyard, inspired by the basketball court scene from the "Dynamite" music video and provides backdrops for fans to capture their best dance moves and create Instagram-worthy moments.

In the Disco Retail Zone, visitors can admire the two-metre Lego BTS Diorama build, constructed from more than 10,000 Lego bricks.

Guests can also participate in a challenge to spot Lego Balloons within the diorama for a chance to win Lego sets. An interactive photo booth is available for fans to capture their Lego BTS Dynamite experience and receive instant physical prints.

Additionally, special promotions of up to 25 per cent on Lego sets, including the popular Lego Ideas BTS Dynamite set, are available for shoppers.

The Record Discovery Zone offers a range of interactive activities, including the construction of a massive Lego Donut Wall for the Singapore Book of Records.

Fans can also build their own "mini-me" versions using Lego mini-figures at the BRICKTIFY Me area. To top it off, visitors can participate in a Dance Off, showcasing their best BTS-inspired choreography.

The LEGO BTS Dynamite pop-up store is set to run from 7 to 16 July, offering fans and visitors alike an opportunity to indulge in their passion for both BTS and Lego.

Mathur concluded, "We would like to bring more exciting and creative experiences to the public. And we are open to partnerships or collaborations. So watch this space."

As the Lego BTS Dynamite experience continues to captivate fans, it is clear that this collaboration has paved the way for more ventures in the future.
