Aston Villa head to Liverpool this afternoon in desperate need of a result to strengthen their Premier League survival bid.

The champions are dusting themselves down after taking a hammering at Manchester City on Thursday.

Villa meanwhile have picked up just two points since the restart.

Defeats for Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford means they have a chance to move clear of the drop zone tonight - but they will need to produce one of the shocks of the season to do so.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa is scheduled for a 4.30pm BST kick-off on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

The match will be behind closed doors at Anfield with no fans due to be present inside the stadium due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

TV channel: Liverpool vs Aston Villa will be shown live on Sky Sports' Premier League and Main Event channels from 4.15pm, and is available via Now TV with a day pass for £9.99, or a three-month pass on offer for £25.
