Liz Cheney Taunts Trump With Clip Of Taylor Swift's Crowd Size

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) trolled former President Donald Trump over the size of the crowd at Taylor Swift’s latest concert tour stop.

Thank you @taylorswift13 for giving us a million reasons to smile,” Cheney posted on X Sunday night, sharing a clip from the pop superstar’s concert in London. “PS- @realDonaldTrump this is what a sold out crowd actually looks like.”

The clip showed Swift’s boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, making an onstage cameo during Swift’s performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” on Sunday.

Swift, and her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, caused a right-wing meltdown earlier this year, sparking unhinged conspiracy theories and sexist attacks.

During that time, Cheney seemed to come to Swift’s defense, calling her a “national treasure.”

Trump has brought up Swift on multiple occasions. In February, he insisted there’s “no way” Swift could endorse President Joe Biden and suggested he was partially responsible for her success.

An author who interviewed Trump extensively for a new book, Ramin Setoodeh, said Trump is fixated on Swift because of her fame. Trump called her “very beautiful” and questioned whether she’s really a liberal, according to Setoodeh.

In response to Cheney’s jab, a Trump campaign spokesperson said to The Hill, “Who’s Taylor Swift?”
