Veteran Singapore actor David Bala has passed away at the age of 67 due to heart disease, said MediaCorp.
 
TV station Vasantham posted the announcement on its Facebook page on Friday, 29 August.
 
A familiar figure in the arts scene, Bala was known for roles in Jack Neo movies such as “Just Follow Law” and “Ah Long Pte Ltd”, and several Vasantham dramas.



Fans remember him most for his role in Mark Lee's comedy "The Ghosts Must be Crazy" where he played army officer Encik Muthu.
 
Director Jack Neo took to Twitter to share his condolences, describing Bala as a comedian that all Singaporeans knew.

Bala is survived by his wife and four children.
