Love Island 2024 shocks viewers with Konnor's recoupling choice

Love Island fans were left shocked after Konnor Ewudzi made a surprising choice during the latest recoupling ceremony.
The bombshell entered the villa alongside Matilda Draper in Wednesday’s (June 19) episode, but today (June 24) saw the pair get their first chance to flex their matchmaking muscles after Jess revealed that a recoupling ceremony would take place.
Matilda surprised nobody as she opted to couple up with Sean following their bubbly bond, but Konnor’s choice certainly raised a few eyebrows as he elected to couple up with Grace, who had previously been paired with Joey Essex.

The choice got people talking both inside the villa and on social media, with one viewer writing on X/Twitter: “Konnor had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever AND HE DID #loveisland.”
“Konnor went from no screen time to making BOLD moves and I’m here for it #loveisland,” remarked a second viewer, with a third adding: “#loveisland KONNOR YOUVE DONE IT. BIG BOMBSHELL ACTIVITY.”
“Konnor the man that you #loveisland INJECT IT,” added a fourth viewer, with a fifth writing: “Konnor choosing grace, Jess laughing. REAL TELEVISION #loveisland.”
Whilst most of the action focused on Konnor’s choice, there were other recouplings in the ceremony, with the pairings as follows: Matilda & Sean, Konnor & Grace, Uma & Wil, Nicole & Ciaran, Harriett & Ronnie, Mimii & Ayo and Jess & Joey.

Elsewhere in the episode, there was some drama following Ronnie’s date with Harriett, with Jess later relaying that he would’ve chosen her had she not elected to couple up with Sean earlier in the series.
This left Harriett questioning if Ronnie was being wholly truthful with her – will the newly made-up couple be able to recover from the situation and forge ahead in their new coupling?...
