Love Island unveiled its celebrity VIP guest tonight (June 27), with fans taking to social media to express their joy.

Thursday’s episode saw the remaining islanders treated to their own personal concert from Eve, with the rapper performing hits such as ‘Who’s That Girl’ to an adoring crowd.

The Islanders weren’t the only ones who reacted positively to the surprise development, with several fans sharing their thoughts on X/Twitter.

“Eve the MOTHER” wrote one fan, with another adding: “That was banging... Proper loved that.. LOVED IT X X.” There was also some comments regarding the selfie that Eve took with the islanders, with one fan writing: “Great pic! <3 x #loveisland”

Though Eve brought the party to the villa, the joy didn’t last too long as there were several tetchy exchanges following Wednesday’s (June 26) episode, though one fan pre-empted this as they wrote: “There is always drama the night a celebrity artist visits..”

“They've had a great night. It will end in tears,” quipped another viewer, whilst one added: “And those smiles got wiped off real quick.”

Most of the drama revolved around the recoupling ceremony, which saw bombshells Trey and Jessy given the opportunity to steal an Islander. Trey opted to couple up with Jess, whilst Jessy chose Joey - much to Grace’s bemusement.

The drama intensified as Jessy and Joey shared a kiss on the terrace as Grace, Matilda and Uma all looked on, with Grace left feeling confused given Joey’s previous words. The move certainly drew some attention, with fans commenting on the developments.

“Joey Essex pretending to be shocked when Jessy picked him, then kissing Jessy on the terrace whilst Grace sits in hell…THIS IS TELEVISION #loveisland” wrote one fan who was enthused by the drama.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
