M4 closed both ways, police say stay in vehicles
A stretch of motorway in south Wales is closed in both directions due to an ongoing police incident which is causing long delays.
The M4 has been closed for over an hour between junctions 37 and 38, Porthcawl to Margam.
South Wales Police said it was at the scene and asked people to remain in their vehicles and keep the hard shoulder clear for emergency service vehicles.
The force said earlier the motorway was expected to remain closed for some time and advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.
