A 45-year-old male car driver who threw a brick on the driveway outside Parliament House on Friday (11 January) has been arrested.
In a statement, the police said the man drove a car onto the driveway at about 4pm. He drove off after throwing the brick outside Parliament House’s secured main gate.
There was no parliament in session at the time of the incident.
The police have arrested the man for criminal trespass and investigations are ongoing.
Several photos of a police alert sent to taxi drivers on the incident have been circulating on social media.
