Man arrested for molesting 6 young girls at Hougang Swimming Complex

A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting six girls at Hougang Swimming Complex, said the Singapore Police Force in a press release on Tuesday (25 September).

The police were alerted to the case involving six girls aged nine to 13 years old on 13 September.

After establishing the man’s identity, the police arrested him along Hougang Avenue 2 on Monday.

The man will be charged in court on Wednesday with outrage of modesty.

The charge of molesting a person under 14 years old carries a maximum jail term of up to five years, or with fine, or caning, or with a combination of the punishments.
