Maria Ozawa retracts one-night stand response

The Japanese actress was just being funny when she admitted to have been with Cesar Montano

7 Mar - Japanese actress Maria Ozawa recently expressed regret over her previous statement regarding a supposed one-night stand with her "Nilalang" co-star, Cesar Montano.

Previously, the actress, who guest hosted on Mo Twister's podcast back on 1 March, responded to Mo's question whether she had ever slept with Montano by saying that she might have done so once or twice.

She also stated that the encounter happened way before they worked together on the Metro Manila Film Festival movie.

When asked if she intended to date Montano, Ozawa responded in the negative, adding that it was nothing but a one-night stand.

Upon receiving backlash over her words, Ozawa turned to Facebook to clarify her position, saying, "I saw the news earlier, but it was a joke and [I] was just having fun with the whole topic, maybe more like flirting with the questions that Mo was asking me, because I thought it would be a good entertainment for the show."

"But now it's breaking my heart because of what the media is saying. Now I know... Learned a lesson. Never joke around with a sensitive topic," she added.

Meanwhile, Mo Twister posted a short message on Twitter, saying "Eye roll defense", before deleting it soon after.
