Marvel’s ‘Agatha All Along’ Trailer Returns to the Witchy World of ‘WandaVision’
Marvel has released the first “Agatha All Along” trailer, picking things up with the witch played by Kathryn Hahn first introduced in “WandaVision.” The series will have its two-episode premiere Sept. 18 on Disney+.
“Agatha All Along” takes place after the events of “WandaVision,” which left Agatha stripped of her powers by Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and stuck in Westview. But it seems that spell wasn’t exactly permanent.
Per the official synopsis, the series finds Agatha Harkness “down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen (Joe Locke) helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”
In the new footage, Agatha appears to be a detective a lá “Mare of Easttown” — which fans will remember was the basis of one of the fake titles for “Agatha All Along” — working on a homicide case. But, as she examines a body, the toe tag magically reveals a familiar name: “W. Maximoff.”
At that, Aubrey Plaza pops in, seemingly as a fellow detective. “Is this really how you see yourself?” she ominously asks. “That witch is gone, leaving you trapped in her distorted spell. Claw your way out.”

After a massive shake-up to Marvel’s TV slate last year, “Agatha” became one of the few series to keep a 2024 release date, alongside “X-Men ’97,” which sees its season finale this week, and “Echo,” which dropped in full on Hulu and Disney+ at the start of this year.
The series stars Hahn alongside Locke, Lupone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. It’s created by Jac Schaeffer, the creator of “WandaVision,” who also serves as head writer just as she did on the earlier series.
The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer. The directors for the series include Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
