Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have officially confirmed the name of their newborn daughter.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy actor shared a sweet picture of his little one’s hand on his Instagram yesterday (August 10) where he revealed her name and confirmed that mum and baby are both "doing great".

Sharing his daughter’s name in the caption, he wrote: "We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt.

"We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris."

Chris finished his announcement with two bible quotes.

Jurassic World actor Chris married Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter in June 2019 after a year of dating.

They announced they were expecting a child together back in May.

Their new arrival was originally revealed by Katherine's younger brother Patrick, with him also telling Entertainment Tonight that the family were "doing great".

Chris was previously married to Friends and Scary Movie actress Anna Faris for eight years, and they share a 7-year-old son named Jack.

Previously speaking on her Unqualified podcast, Anna said the former couple have remained close for the sake of their son.

"Chris and I work really hard 'cos we have Jack, that is sort of the long game idea and making sure Jack is really happy, which makes us really happy," she said.

"We have sort of the luxury of circumstance. You know, we are both in other loving relationships. But it's like, how do you not in general sink into a place of bitterness?"

She even offered to officiate Chris and Katherine's wedding ceremony after finding out they were engaged.

She explained: "Chris texted me this morning and he was like, 'I proposed to Katherine last night'. And I was like, 'Ahh, that’s amazing'.

"And I texted him back like, 'I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister'... I’m not very good at it."
