Meet the Southeast Asian startups competing at Google’s Demo Day Asia
Ten finalists are set to compete in the Google Demo Day Asia event in Shanghai on September 20

Google today announced the 10 finalists who are set to compete in its Demo Day Asia event in Shanghai on September 20, consisting of Asia Pacific-based startups.
Selected our of 305 qualifying applications, the participants are set to pitch in front of a panel that consists of leaders from Google for Entrepreneurs, Sequoia Capital China, and Venturra Capital to win prizes such as funding from investors and up to US$100,000 in Google Cloud Platform credits.
“We’re proud that several of these companies belong to organisations that are a part of the Google for Entrepreneurs partner network, a community of over 35 member spaces globally and programs supporting startups. They include startups from Kibar in Indonesia, Fishburners in Australia, Hubba in Thailand, and Found in Singapore,” Google announced in a press statement.

Out of the 10 finalists, three are coming from the Southeast Asian region:
1. DycodeX (Indonesia)
The Bandung-based startup develops Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions for livestock farming. Their products help monitor cattle’s behaviour and wellbeing; they also produces other products such as panic buttons and drinking water monitoring platform.
2. SkyMagic (Singapore)
The Singapore-based startup produces drone swarming technology for live entertainment and traffic management systems. Their past works include drone shows for the Dubai World Cup and Qatar National Day.
3. OneStockHome (Thailand)
The 500 TukTuks-backed startup is an e-commerce platform for construction materials, offering local and international brands.
The remaining Asia Pacific startups that have made it to finals are: FreightExchange (Australia), GITAI (Japan), Marham (Pakistan), Miotech (China), Origami Labs (Hong Kong), SigTuple (India), and Wingvy (Korea).
