Michael Nyqvist boards thriller starring Pierce Brosnan

Nyqvist won global fame and critical acclaim for his role opposite Noomi Rapace in three movies based on Stieg Larsson's "Millennium" novels

Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist has joins the cast of "I.T.," a revenge thriller that Pierce Brosnan is set to star in and produce.

Brosnan plays a man who has it all -- including a beautiful home, wife and daughter -- when his relationship with an I.T. consultant goes sour, resulting in a cat-and-mouse game that threatens his family, business and life.

Nyqvist ("Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol"), reports Deadline, will play a mysterious fixer who helps save Brosnan's character.

"I.T." is being directed by John Moore and will also feature Stefanie Scott, James Frechville and Anna Friel.
