Rodriguez has been out and about as she promotes “Loot” in a variety of shoe styles, though pumps have been a staple. She nodded to the ongoing bow trend in a pair of black patent leather Versace pumps at the Canneseries International Festival last month. On Thursday, she wore a pair of nude colored Louboutins to The King’s Trust Gala.

The history-making Golden Globe winner plays Sofia in “Loot.” On the carpet she was joined by the show’s star Maya Rudolph as well as co-workers like Joel Kim Booster and Nat Faxon.

About the shoe

The actress, who had her big break playing Blanca in FX’s “Pose,” opted for Christian Louboutin’s popular “So Kate” pump. The shoe borrows its name from the supermodel Kate Moss.

The style features a pointed toe, rounded vamp and a 4.7-inch stiletto heel. The vamp is low-cut which provides more toe cleavage than some other pump styles. It’s most easily identified by the trademark red-soled heel, an iconic aspect of each Louboutin style.

The shoe is currently available for $795.

The Black Pointed-Toe Pump

Michaela isn’t the only one who is a fan of the classic black pointed-toe stiletto pump. Fantasia Baririno has been wearing them recently, notably wearing the sculpted Ivy pump from LeSilla this week at the New York Pops’ Birthday Gala. Alicia KeysHedi KlumSofia Boutella and Paris Hilton  also all wore the style last month.

It is a versatile shoe, able to be worn with anything from a pair of jeans and t-shirt, to a couture-quality evening gown. For the past 30 years, Louboutin has set its shoe apart with the red soles, inspired by red fingernail polish. The detail has helped push the designer’s wares into highly covetable territory.
