Miranda Lambert Reveals the Sweet Reason She Was "Nervous" to Ask Reba to Join Her Onstage

Miranda Lambert brought more firepower than her fireworks and pyrotechnics combined to Stagecoach this year with her explosive set and iconic special guest. Lambert brought out the one and only Reba McEntire, finishing her Saturday night show with a bang.

Miranda Lambert was one of three headliners at the festival, alongside Morgan Wallen and Eric Church, but we must say, her performance takes the cake! Lambert sang fan favorites including "Tin Man" and performed her new song "Wrangler" live for the first time, before Reba joined in.

Lambert and McEntire finished off Saturday night at Stagecoach with an trio of encore duets of Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart" and "Gunpowder and Lead" and McEntire's "Fancy."

"I was nervous to ask her," Lambert admitted in an interview with Country Living. "I mean, obviously, because she's one of my heroes, but she is a friend, and Reba is a number one class act. She does everything so professionally and she's super fun to be around, but you know it's a big favor to ask to come all the way to California to sing a couple of songs. So, I asked her and she was like 'heck yeah, I'll do it.'"

Both artists took the Instagram to commemorate the momentous occasion. "Reba at stagecoach y'all. 🤯🤩 Thank you to my hero and friend for coming out here as my special guest. I'll never forget it. She brought all the fire," Lambert captioned her post.

The comments say it all, Reba and Miranda received nothing but rave reviews from fans. "Amazing. I still haven’t recovered. Y’all killed it!!! 🔥," "An iconic duo!! Love you both ❤️🔥" and "This was amazing! You killed that stage! And having Reba!🔥🔥🔥 Thank you Miranda for a great night at stagecoach! 🫶🏻🏜️🤎," fans commented on Lambert's post.

Reba posted a photo of the two linked arm in arm, thanking Miranda for inviting her to be her special guest. "What a night!!! Thanks @mirandalambert for asking me to be part of @stagecoach last night. And thanks to all the #Countrymusic fans for sticking with us in that wind! #badasssisters #bas #stagecoach," the "I'm A Survivor" songstress captioned her post.

"This is like that feeling of being blessed with a bonus onion ring in your french fries but times 1,000,000 ❤️🔥" and "You were amazing Reba! 🙌 Y'all were SO good together!🔥😍," more fans gushed under McEntire's post.

A Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire joint performance should be an annual event, at the bare minimum, and it seems Lambert is on board! "We really haven't done a lot together, but after that, I feel like this is the beginning of another round of like, anytime I can sing with Reba, sign me up, because I just adore her," Lambert told Country Living.

We'll be obsessing over these performance clips until further notice.
