Miss Universe Singapore announced the top 20 finalists on Saturday (22 July) who will be vying for the crown at the pageant finals on 11 October.

A group shot of the ladies was published on Facebook on the same day. Among the finalists include student Sharmen Diana Frugtniet, 19, pricing analyst Rudihra Ramathas, 26, and controls associate Dalvin Kaur, 28, according to local press The New Paper, which is also an organiser.

The 20 finalists were reportedly chosen during a close-door audition before a five-member judging panel, which included Miss Universe Singapore 2002 winner Nuraliza Osman, who is also the pageant’s national director. Other judges include Miss Universe Singapore 2003 winner Bernice Wong and dentist Jerry Lim. Last year’s winner was Lasalle student Cheryl Chou.
