SINGAPORE – Housing Board (HDB) residents can now adopt bigger mixed-breed dogs under a revised government scheme.

The National Parks Board (NParks) announced on Sunday (1 March) that under Project Adore, the height limit for Singapore Specials that can be rehomed to HDB flats has been increased from 50cm to 55cm. Their weight will no longer be a criterion.

With these changes, about 20 per cent more dogs, or 50 dogs, can be rehomed under this scheme.

Project Adore started in 2012, and a total of 1,335 mixed-breed dogs have since been rehomed under the scheme.
