The rise, fall, and rebirth of the legendary Motown record label is the latest tale coming to Broadway.

"Motown the Musical" is making a return to the New York stage for an 18-week run starting in July 2016, Billboard reports.

The show, which is currently on tour in the US, is undergoing some adjustments by Motown Records founder Berry Gordy and producer Kevin McCollum, meaning that this version will be slightly different from the original that made its debut in 2013.

The musical tells the story of the music movement that gave birth to megastars including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson, among others.
