Nadine Lustre explains departure from "Miracle in Cell No. 7"

31 Jul – Nadine Lustre has recently addressed reports of her withdrawing from the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, "Miracle in Cell No. 7".

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who was originally scheduled to play Aga Muhlach's daughter in the upcoming adaptation of the hit South Korean film, stated that she really needed to take a break from filming as it would have been her third one this year.

"It's been a bit of a burnout since I have already filmed two movies this year. It's also difficult because other than shooting, we also have to do promotions," she said.

Lustre previously filmed "Ulan", co-starring Carlo Aquino, and "Indak", her upcoming dance film co-starring Sam Concepcion.

The actress added that the fact that the film will be a part of the MMFF, it would mean a busier schedule for her.

"It's a good project, a good material. But for me, I will just prioritise myself and my health," she said.

Lustre will be replaced by "Meet Me at St. Gallen" star, Bela Padilla.

"I'm really happy because Bela is a good actress, she's also a good writer and she takes what she does seriously and she loves it and it shows," she said.
