Najib will not dare to sue WSJ, says Dr Mahathir

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak would not file a suit against The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) over the twin financial scandal allegations made by the paper as he knew he was “guilty”, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The country’s longest serving former prime minister said Najib should have filed suits against the business newspaper if the claims were false and not give excuses for not doing so. “Najib should not only act against WSJ, but also against others for any civil wrong.” “But Najib is not going to sue WSJ because reports in the publication is correct and he is in the wrong,” Dr Mahathir told reporters after police recorded a statement at his office in Putrajaya today. The questioning was in relation to a post in Dr Mahathir's blog over his criticism against Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali for his refusal to prosecute Najib over Finance Ministry owned SRC International. Apandi had also refused the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigators to collect evidence outside over the RM2.6 billion funnelled into Najib’s private accounts. – February 24, 2016.
