NATO strikes targeted Tripoli police headquarters: Libyan spokesman

Tripoli, May 17 (ANI): Mussa Ibrahim, a spokesman for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said on Tuesday that NATO had struck two government buildings in the capital Tripoli in the early hours of Tuesday. Ibrahim said the headquarters of the police force as well as the Ministry for Popular inspection and Oversight had been hit. He also said that there were many civilians living in this area. According to Libyan state television, NATO, which has been hitting targets in Libya for nearly two months, appeared to step up its bombing campaign on Monday with strikes in several towns and cities including Tripoli.
