Netflix Announces Release Date of 'Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft' Animated Series

Netflix and Power Animation officially announced the release of the animated Tomb Raider series, The Legend of Lara Croft.
The upcoming series is set to premiere October 10 exclusively on Netflix, and will feature a voice cast comprised of Hayley Atwell as the titular British archeologist, Allen Maldonado as Zip and Earl Baylon, who reprises his role as Jonah from the Tomb Raider video games. The Legend of Lara Croft picks up after the events of the video game franchise's Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider):
Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures. But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.
Tasha Huo will serve as writer and co-executive producer alongside Dmitri M. Johnson, Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson, Dallas Dickinson, Noah Hughes, Howard Bliss, Jen Chambers and Brad Graeber.
