Last Friday, 25 October, ONE Championship made a stunning return to Jakarta, Indonesia with ONE: DAWN OF VALOR.

Fans inside the Istora Senayan got their fill of excitement with a night of world-class martial arts action.

After 14 incredible match-ups featuring the finest martial artists on the planet, we look ahead to what might be in store for the winners of this epic event.

Who Will Challenge Welterweight King Kiamrian Abbasov?

Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov showcased his mighty grappling prowess in the biggest match of his career.

The Kyrgyz warrior dominated Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam over five rounds to walk away with the unanimous decision win and the ONE Welterweight World Title around his waist.

It will take an athlete with elite skills to challenge “Brazen,” but unbeaten American James Nakashima might be the man for the job.

Nakashima has gone on a 3-0 run since his debut in The Home Of Martial Arts. He has cobbled impressive victories together against the likes of Luis “Sapo” Santos, who the American stopped in the second round with a spectacular TKO.

Abbasov is a well-rounded athlete with complementary skills on both the ground and his feet. His opposite number, Nakashima, has been training with the world’s best kickboxer, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, and he should give “Brazen” all he can handle.

A clash between the two could make for a fascinating match-up in 2020 and shake up the promotion’s welterweight division.

John “Hands Of Stone” Lineker’s Strong Start In ONE

John “Hands Of Stone” Lineker let his fists do most of the talking in his ONE debut victory against Muin “Tajik” Gafurov.

The Brazilian powerhouse displayed slick striking in his win over Gafurov and moved up the bantamweight division’s ladder, but he still needs a major contender before a World Title shot.

Japanese sensation Shoko Sato would be a worthy opponent for Lineker. A Shooto Bantamweight World Champion, Shato has won his last five bouts – all by knockout.

A match between these two knockout artists will be nothing short of epic. And, if Lineker can produce an emphatic finish this time, it could put him in contention for a shot at Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes’ ONE Bantamweight World Title.

A New Test For Mark “Tyson” Fairtex Aberlardo

It took Mark “Tyson” Fairtex Aberlardo all he had to pull off the convincing unanimous decision win against Ayideng Jumayi at ONE: DAWN OF VALOR.

Now that Aberlardo is back on the winning track, a possible next opponent to test his spirit could be Malaysia’s “Jungle Cat” Muhammad Aiman.

The Bali MMA product is coming off an illustrious win against “The Terminator” Sunoto at ONE: DAWN OF HEROES in August.

Aiman is known for his grit and pressure, but “Tyson” has the striking skills to go punch for punch with the Malaysian.

To move up the bantamweight divisional ranks, it is crucial for both competitors to stack their win columns. The two athletes could put on an epic striking showdown for martial arts fans.
