‘Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die’ Sets Streaming Record For HBO

EXCLUSIVE: Nikki Glaser is bringing the laughs to HBO.

The comedian’s latest comedy special, Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die, has generated 2M cross-platform viewers since it premiered on May 11, according to Warner Bros. Discovery. The company also said the special had the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years.

That just slightly outperforms her previous special, Good Clean Filth, which amassed 1.9M cross-platform viewers in the same timeframe from its own debut. That special was also nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy Special.

Someday You’ll Die is currently pacing to have the top streaming audience for any comedy special in the history of Max (even before the name change).

Taped in December 2023 in front of a sold-out audience at the Moore Theater in Seattle, Washington, Glaser dives into a wide range of topics including why she doesn’t want kids, the harsh realities of aging, her sexual fantasies, and plans for her own death – all in her hilarious, unapologetic, and brutally honest style. Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die showcases why Glaser is one of the funniest, and most fearless, comedians today.

Written and performed by Glaser, Someday You’ll Die is directed by Emmy winner Hamish Hamilton. David Jammy, Chris Convy and Alex Murray served as its executive producers.

Recently, Glaser received a standing ovation for her segment during the Tom Brady roast, which aired live on Netflix.

On the road now through December with her U.S. stand-up tour “Nikki Glaser:  Alive And Unwell Tour,” Glaser has previously put out the specials Bangin’ and Perfect via Netflix and Comedy Central, respectively. She is also the current host and executive producer of Lovers and Liars (formerly FGirl Island), a female spin-off of the Max and CW reality dating series FBoy Island, which premiered on The CW on April 11.

Glaser has also hosted The Nikki Glaser Podcast for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Podcast Network since 2021.
