PC download charts: 'Metro: Last Light,' 'Van Helsing'
New releases "Metro: Last Light" and "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing" chart high on the Steam Network by Monday, May 27, while the likes of "Borderlands 2," "Counter-Strike: GO," and "Chivalry" are boosted by special offers.
City builder "SimCity" remains unmoved atop the GameStop Impulse chart -- the service has recently integrated review ratings from Game Informer magazine, also owned by the GameStop retail chain -- with expansive "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" in second.
Classic adventure "Wizardry 8" was, in its day, a true competitor to "Skyrim" ancestor "Morrowind," and a re-release sees it arrive near the peak of GOG's chart, prevented from taking first place by a half-price take on fantasy tropes, "UnEpic," imbued with Quixotic humor by Spanish creator Francisco Téllez de Meneses.
