Prince Harry: Journey to Antarctica

In an epic trek of a lifetime, Prince Harry, patron of the Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge 2013, took part in the Walking with the Wounded charity trek with Team UK. Alongside Team US and Team Commonwealth, all participants had to race across three degrees to the South Pole. All 12 injured service personnel from Britain, America, Canada and Australia have overcome life-changing injuries and undertaken grueling training programmes to prepare for the challenging conditions in Antarctica. The trek consisted of 15 - 20km each day while enduring temperatures as low as minus 45C and 50 mph winds as they pulled 70kg sleds towards the south pole.
