Style evolution: Alia Bhatt

Since her Bollywood debut in 2012, Alia Bhatt's red carpet looks have only grown in strength. But the one thing that hasn't changed much is her love for solid colours. 2013 saw Bhatt sport maxis, palazzos and neon blazers to promote her first film. The look was always young, be it a simply embellished Shehlaa by Shehla Khan gown or a crop top-skater skirt combo layered with a pink jacket. Her biggest moments that year: wearing Dior at the Vogue Beauty Awards, and a Manish Malhotra lehenga at the Filmfare Awards. The actor's style took a turn upwards in the coming year: the line got cleaner, the accessories were more muted… think red pantsuit with nude pumps, ivory lehenga complemented only with understated jhumkas. 2015's Screen Actors Guild Awards also had Alia trying her hand at cut-out details and smoky eyes. A stark contrast, her minimalist look at the launch of Miss Vogue had her looking more grown-up than ever before.
