Piolo Pascual says Spring Films is cutting down projects

5 Jun – Piolo Pascual recently admitted that his production company Spring Films has decided to cut its previously planned projects in half due to the budget constraints.

As reported on Inquirer, the actor, whose company is also feeling the effect of the previous lockdown caused by the pandemic, stated that the company could not accommodate all the projects anymore knowing the high expenses that they would incur from the safety guidelines they have to follow.

Nevertheless, to the rest of the projects that they were planning to do earlier this year, Pascual said that they just have to resume work following the move from enhanced to general community quarantine in order to revive the economy, despite the absence of vaccine for the pandemic.

"It is what it is. We really have no choice. We have to adjust for the sake of the community," he said.

Spring Films was established by Pascual alongside talent manager Erickson Raymundo and filmmaker Joyce Bernal.

In addition to his production projects, Pascual stated that he has already been called to begin taping ABS-CBN's variety show, "ASAP", and that all the cast and crew will be staying in a hotel to ensure safety.

"Once the soap committees resume work, we would also be brought to locked-in sets. It's going to be hard to adjust. We are still feeling our way around. People will have to be more cautious and sensitive to the needs of others," he said.
