SINGAPORE — Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver this year’s National Day Rally speech on 21 August.

The Rally will be held at the Institute of Technical Education headquarters at Ang Mo Kio, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Wednesday (11 May).

The most important political speech in Singapore each year typically outlines the country’s broad agenda and near-term objectives.

In last year’s Rally, Lee gave an update on the country’s progress in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. He also spoke about improving Singapore’s economic competitiveness, preserving its status as a business hub, and creating jobs for Singaporeans.

"It is about generating new growth, jobs, and prosperity for the future," Lee said then.
