Police officer found dead with gunshot wound to his head
Police officer Sergeant Sandeep Singh, 23, was found with a gunshot wound to his head in a toilet of Bukit Timah Neighbourhood Police Centre on Saturday morning, according to a police media statement.
His service revolver was found beside him and he was pronounced dead at Alexandra Hospital later at about 8:29am.
The young sergeant, who has been working at the NPC since 2 January 2013, had reported for duty at 7:06am that morning, in preparation for his morning shift duties.
The police has classified the case as unnatural death and are still conducting investigations. No foul play was suspected.
