Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to deliver National Day Rally speech on 20 August 2023

SINGAPORE —Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is set to give his National Day Rally 2023 speech on Sunday (20th August).

The speech will take place at the Institute of Technical Education headquarters in Ang Mo Kio.

In a statement on Monday (14 August), the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced that Lee will deliver his speech in three languages; Malay at 6.45 pm, Mandarin at 7 pm, and English at 8 pm.

The speech traditionally outlines the country's overall goals and immediate priorities.

Public housing and support for older workers' CPF savings

Anticipated to address several topics, Prime Minister Lee is set to discuss the importance of affordable public housing and the necessity of supporting older workers with insufficient savings in their Central Provident Fund (CPF) for retirement.

He previewed his intention to delve into these matters during his National Day message on 8 August.

The National Day Rally is scheduled for broadcast on local television channels and radio stations.
