Prince Harry is back in London for a short visit—but his father, King Charles III, has no time to see him.

As Harper’s Bazaar has learned, the Duke of Sussex traveled to the United Kingdom today ahead of the Invictus Games Foundation’s 10th anniversary celebration, which will be held tomorrow at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

A Sussex representative told Bazaar the king will not be able to see his son during Harry’s visit, as the British monarch is simply too busy. “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” the rep said. “The Duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

The news comes after Harry flew to London in February to visit his father immediately upon learning of the king’s cancer diagnosis. There, he met with the monarch for about an hour before returning home. Bazaar learned that Charles very much appreciated Harry’s gesture.

This royal love story is a good one.

Days later, while preparing for the 2025 Invictus Games launch in Whistler, Canada, Harry told Good Morning America’s Will Reeve: “Umm, look, I love my family.” And of visiting his dad: “The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”
