Prince Louis Has Some Interesting Advice for the English Men's Soccer Team

Prince William began his week with a visit to the English men's soccer team training camp, where he gave them some words of advice ahead of the Euros competition.

The Prince of Wales told the team that he asked his kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—what he should tell the players today.

"The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat!" William said. "So, I now have visions of you running around with massive great tummies. So maybe take my youngest's advice with a pinch of salt, particularly around the physio team."

Prince William met the team in his capacity as the president of the Football Association, which is the governing body of soccer in England. He's had a busy past week; on Friday, he attended the Duke of Westminster's wedding to Olivia Henson, and on Thursday, he represented his father King Charles at the international 80th anniversary of D-Day commemorations at Omaha Beach.

For both these major events, Prince William was solo, as Kate Middleton continues to undergo cancer treatment. When asked by a veteran if the Princess was getting better, William replied that "she's have loved to be here."

A palace spokesperson said in March that there's no set timeline for Kate's return to royal duties. "The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery," the spokesperson said. In her video message, Kate said, "Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both."

She added, "We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery."
