‘Property Brothers’ Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott Ink New Multiyear Deal With HGTV

HGTV has signed its popular “Property Brothers,” Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott, to a new multiyear deal.

As part of the agreement, the twins’ Scott Brothers Entertainment will develop new home-related series for high-rated Scripps cable channel. They’ll also keep on hammering away on existing hit shows “Property Brothers,” “Property Brothers: Buying & Selling,” “Brother vs. Brother” and “Property Brothers at Home.”

“Jonathan and Drew are the epitome of innovative, multi-talented television stars and they inspire audiences no matter the vehicle, no matter the platform,” Allison Page, general manager, U.S. Programming and Development, Scripps Networks Interactive. “We have big ideas in development at HGTV and there’s no way we would want to continue our creative journey without the Scott brothers.”

“We’re beyond excited to continue the relationship with our incredibly talented friends at HGTV,” said Drew.

“We truly love what we do, and promise that even though we have a ridiculous amount of fun…we’ll actually get a little work done, too, and continue helping families through our shows,” added Jonathan.

Discovery Communications is in the process of buying Scripps Networks Interactive — which also owns Food Network — for nearly $15 billion. The merger is expected to close early this year.
