Ralph Lauren wins British Fashion Council's 'Outstanding Achievement' accolade

Ralph Lauren is set to be honored at the UK's Fashion Awards in December.

The US designer has been revealed as the recipient of the event's ‘Outstanding Achievement' award, WWD reports. The British Fashion Council, hosting the event, allegedly selected the fashion mogul for the creative vision and business flair displayed over the course of the 77-year-old's lengthy career.

Lauren will be presented with the honor at the awards ceremony on December 5 in London, alongside the winners of nine additional categories and a series of special recognition prizes. Last year's 'Outstanding Achievement' title was awarded to Karl Lagerfeld.
