Revised vehicle ferry timetable for festivalgoers

A ferry service is running a revised timetable on a day when thousands of festival-goers are expected to use it.

Red Funnel vehicle ferries from East Cowes will leave one hour later than the time booked, starting with the sailing to Southampton at 12:30 BST.

The ferry firm said the departure times had changed because its freight ferry, Red Kestrel, is out of service.

Thousands of people are due to return from the Isle of Wight Festival throughout Monday.

Sailings prior to 12:30 will remain as booked, the ferry firm said.

Its high-speed passenger services across the Solent are currently running as normal.

The four-day festival welcomed 55,000 people to Seaclose Park near Newport.
