Rihanna splits up with boyfriend Hassan Jameel
Rihanna has reportedly split with boyfriend Hassan Jameel after three years together.
Although the news has not been verified by Rihanna's spokespeople, multiple sources close to the singer have claimed that their relationship is over. The reasons for their split have not been disclosed.
In July last year, Rihanna said she was "in love" with Jameel. When pressed on whether or not she's going to get married, she said: "Only god knows that, girl. We plan and god laughs, right?"
Hassan is deputy president and vice chairman of his family's international conglomerate business Abdul Latif Jameel, which distributes Toyota cars in the Middle East. He also runs a philanthropic organisation that promotes "the social, cultural, educational, and economic development of individuals and communities in the Middle East region and beyond".
The couple managed to keep their relationship out of the limelight and were never pictured publicly together, bar the odd paparazzi shot of them on holiday in Positano or at a basketball game. They are said to have dated for six months before the press revealed they were an item.
