Actress Rita Avila expressed disappointment to talk show host Boy Abunda after he supposedly kept on cutting her answers during the time-bound Q&A session.

“Mr. Boy Abunda, I love you but I feel something heavy while you were talking to VP Leni. You keep on cutting her and you act like you are against what she is saying,” Avila said in a Facebook post.

Abunda hosted a series of one-on-one interviews with presidential aspirants called “The 2022 One-on-One Interviews.” The interview included 10 questions, one personal issue-based question, political fast talk, and a final question. The 10 questions had a five minute limit while the latter two questions were set at one minute.

“Why? Parang ayaw mo na pasagutin. Parang ayaw mo mag-expound (It’s like you don’t want her to answer. It’s like you don’t want her to expound,” Avila said.

Avila believes that Abunda treated a couple of other candidates better than with Robredo.

Mas respectful and decent ka kala Sen Ping and BBM (You were more respectful and decent with Sen. Ping [Lacson] and BBM [Bongbong Marcos]). Sorry friend, I am not the only one who felt this,” she said. “Ang sad, Boy. Pinagtanggol pa kita na professional ka and respectful sa sinumang guest mo (This is sad, Boy. I even defended you that you were a professional and respectful to your guests).”
