RiverTrees condo to launch at $950-$1,150 psf

The RiverTrees Residences condominium in Sengkang (pictured) will open for public viewing on Valentine's Day (14 February). But bookings will only start on 22 February.

Developed by a Frasers Centrepoint-led consortium, the development fronting Punggol Reservoir is expected to TOP in 2018.

The project comprises 495 residential units of varying configurations: one- to two-bedroom suites; three- to four-bedrooms; dual-key units or flats with intergeneration designs (TRIO Homes); and residences with private lift lobbies (Prive Homes).

The apartments will overlook a cluster of eight strata-titled landed homes, which form part of the project. These Cove Houses are the only waterfront landed homes in Singapore, apart from those at Sentosa Cove. Aside from direct views of the reservoir, these 1,528 sq ft units come with private car parking lots as well.

RiverTrees Residences will also have a shop unit to serve the needs of its residents.

The price for the project's initial phase is expected to range between $950 to $1,150 psf, or a premium of $50 to $100 psf over next-door rival Riverbank @ Fernvale by UOL, where the average psf price is slightly above $1,000.

Cheang Kok Kheong, CEO of Frasers Centrepoint, believes the premium is fair, considering that about 92 percent of units at RiverTrees will have views of the reservoir.

"The beauty of RiverTrees Residences' location is compelling as it offers buyers an opportunity to own a home with an unblocked view of Punggol Reservoir. It is located very close to nature yet provides excellent connectivity to the variety of amenities in the vicinity," he added.
