Zendaya has notably been putting the white pump into heavy rotation over the past few months. She wore them throughout her press tour for the film “Challengers,” often opting for the Christian Louboutin “So Kate” for stops in Europe and the United States. Ariana Grande played Glinda the Good Witch at CinemaCon last month in a pair of satin Jimmy Choos.

On “The Tonight Show,” Rosalia appeared as a surprise guest. For the episode, she played flip shots with Simu Liu, Willow and Fallon.

About the shoe

Pointed-toe white pumps in black or white are classic staples of a woman’s shoe wardrobe. The Manolo Blahnik shoes feature a 4-inch stiletto heel. The silhouette also has a low-cut, slightly rounded vamp that elongates the leg.

The shoes are available now for $725.

But the pumps weren’t the only shoes that the signer wore. Rosalia changed after filming the episode but had been wearing a pair of black heeled boots from Sean McGirr’s debut Alexander McQueen collection.

Those shoes were also styled by Possoco, who the star recently began to work with. The McQueen boots resemble horse hooves. He also recently put Rosalia in a pair of Rick Owens second-skin boots featuring pony hair.

History of Pumps

Called court shoes in Europe, the pump is a style of shoe that covers the toes, sides and back of the foot. It hails from the 18th century and the term “pump” is itself is thought to either come from the silhouette of old-school water pumps or to be an Americanized version of “pomp,” which is a type of shoe. The stiletto pump, with its thin heel, was created by Roger Vivier in 1954.
