Sam wants less comedy movies

Sam wants to make a name for himself in Malaysia and internationally.

8 Oct – Actor Shaheizy Sam recently revealed that he wants to lessen his involvement in movies under the comedy genre as he wants to focus on more high quality works.

However, the "Manisnya Cinta Di Cappadocia" actor will not be rejecting any offer to do a comedy movie.

He added that he is chasing his dream of making a name for himself on an international level, while bringing recognition to his home country as well, through his acting.

"My aim now is to bring the Malaysian flag to other countries. Alhamdulillah, I am starting to receive good quality works recently and audiences will soon get to see that I am serious in realising my dream," said the actor to Media Hiburan.

Meanwhile, his latest work, "Polis Evo", directed by Ghaz Abu Bakar and also stars Zizan Razak, has managed to gross RM8 million after just 11 days of release. It currently sits at number two at the weekend box office in Malaysia.

Sam will appear next in "Rembat", coming to cinemas this 8 October.
