SC Global acquires first development in Ginza, Tokyo

SC Global Developments announced that it has acquired a modern 12-storey prime commercial development in Ginza. The 7,785 sq ft property, named ‘GINZA 12’, is the developer’s first property acquisition in Japan.

SC Global says it intends to develop the property into a ‘foodie’s paradise’, and has already secured leases with two Michelin-star restaurant operators. They include Kenji Takahashi, owner-chef of ‘Yoshifuku’ in Tokyo, as well as the exclusive sushi restaurant ‘Kamakura Izumi’ which will open a new restaurant on the 8th floor. Interest in the property has been high says SC Global, with over 75% of units already leased to a variety of speciality F&B operators.
