Sean 'Diddy' Combs puts raided LA mansion 'up for sale at $70million'
Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to have put his Los Angeles mansion up for sale amid legal troubles.
The embattled rapper has listed the property, which federal agents searched in March, for $70million, according to TMZ.
The Standard has contacted Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ rep for comment.
In March, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York, with support from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and local law enforcement, conducted operations related to an ongoing investigation into the star.
"We will provide further information as it becomes available," a representative for the agency said at the time.
Combs bought the Holmby Hill mansion in 2014 for $39million. The exclusive neighbourhood is home to the infamous Playboy Mansion and the former estate of late legendary Dynasty producer Aaron Spelling.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the 17,000 sq ft European-inspired property features a 35-seat theatre, a guest house, and a swimming pool with a grotto connected by an underground tunnel.
Records show that Diddy took out two mortgages on the mansion, both for $25.35million, in August 2014 and May 2021, neither of which have been fully repaid, according to reports. The first mortgage is due in August 2029, and the second in May 2036.
In recent months, six women have accused Combs of sexual assault and similar allegations.
Surveillance footage from May surfaced showing Diddy grabbing, shoving, and kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, during a 2016 altercation, aligning with claims she made in a lawsuit settled last November.
Following the release of the footage by CNN, Cassie thanked her supporters on Instagram, stating, "the outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now". She emphasised the ongoing issue of domestic violence and her continuous recovery journey.
Diddy's attorney, Jonathan Davis, responded on July 3, saying: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed it won't change the fact that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof.
“Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”
In light of public backlash, Combs has returned various accolades, including the key to the city of New York, following a request from the mayor.
Howard University also revoked an honorary degree awarded to him. On June 22, Diddy deleted all posts on his Instagram page, including an apology video to Cassie.
