SINGAPORE — A principal at a secondary school in north-eastern Singapore allegedly molested seven boys aged 13 to 15 on the school grounds over three months, a court heard.

Two boys were repeatedly molested.

At the State Courts on Wednesday (26 June), the man, who is now 46 and no longer with the school, was charged with 11 counts of molestation. He cannot be named to protect the victims’ identities.

It is not known if the victims were students at the school.

According to his charges, the man pinched the penis of a 13 year old over his shorts in August 2017.

The next month, he allegedly tapped on the penis of another 13 year old.

That same month, he purportedly slid his hand under a 14 year old’s shorts and underwear to touch the boy’s penis. In October, the man allegedly repeated the same acts on two occasions on the same victim.

He also purportedly molested another 13 year old and another 14 year old by pinching each of their private parts twice.

He also allegedly slid his hand under another 14 year old’s shorts and underwear and played with his pubic hair and pinched his penis six times.

And on three separate occasions between early and late October, the man purportedly touched the nipple of a 15 year old boy and/or poked his groin area.

The man is out on bail of $15,000 and the case will be mentioned again next month.

For each of his three charges of using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a person under 14 years of age, he faces a maximum jail term of up to five years, along with a fine and caning.

For each of his remaining eight charges of molestation, he faces a maximum penalty of up to two years’ jail, along with a fine and caning.
