Seo In Guk First Declined ‘Reply 1997’
Feeling burdened with such a big role, Seo In Guk shared that he initially declined appearing on tvN’s Reply 1997.
On October 31’s broadcast of KBS’ Happy Together, Seo In Guk talked about how Reply 1997 brought him to where he is now.
With Seo In Guk, IU, Sayuri, and ZE:A’s Kwang Hee appeared as guests, who rose to stardom with just one big success. Seo In Guk answered his was Reply 1997.
Reply 1997 shot Seo In Guk into stardom after he took the main role of Yoon Yoon Jae in 2012.
Then Seo In Guk revealed a shocking fact.
“When I first got the offer, I declined it,” said Seo In Guk.
Before Reply 1997, Seo In Guk served as a supporting actor in KBS’ Love Rain .
“I acted as a mood builder in Love Rain, so I thought it was going to be a similar role in Reply 1997,” explained Seo In Guk. “Then I found out it was for the role of Yoon Yoon Jae, so I said no. I didn’t think that I was in the position to take such a cool character. I wasn’t a star and I wasn’t a handsome person, so I thought I would become a burden for director Shin Won Ho.”
But in the end, Seo In Guk did take the role, and the rest is history.
