Shaina Magdayao speaks up about romance
16 Feb - Actress Shaina Magdayao has given her response regarding Piolo Pascual's recent confession about their relationship, after the actor admitted to the media that the two of them have been exclusively dating for the last five years.
As reported on Rappler, the actress, who released her own statement to "Tonight with Boy Abunda" recently, admitted that Pascual has always been there for her, although the actress chose to use the word 'a great friend' rather than a boyfriend.
"We have become very special to each other. Even his whole family is dear to me," she said.
Magdayao stated that Pascual is always free to date anyone else he wants, and so is she, and that it just so happens that they decided not to do that for the last five years.
"That is why there is no exclusively dating label," she said.
The actress also admitted that Pascual has been very present in her life, although she reminded everyone not to be too excited about their future plans.
"I am just thankful that Piolo is in my life now," she said.
Prior to her relationship with Pascual, Magdayao has dated actor John Lloyd Cruz.
