Short-but-sweet heli-skiing packages become available

The world's oldest heli-skiing organization, Canadian Mountain Heli-Skiing (CMH Heli-Skiing), recently announced one-day packages during which skiers and snowboarders can expect to get in three to five runs from their Revelstoke Lodge in British Columbia.

For those who are tempted by what's been said to be an addicting winter sport but aren't ready to commit to spending thousands of dollars for a week-long trip in the ultra-rigorous heli-terrain, this could be the answer.

CMH Heli-Skiing is currently accepting reservations for the package, which is available from December 27 through January 3, 2015. The three-run version costs 799 CAD (about $711) and five runs costs 959 CAD (about $854), plus applicable taxes. Each additional run costs 89 CAD (about $79), plus applicable taxes. Heli-skiing day packages and pay-per-runs are also available at the Verbier resort in Switzerland. Prices vary depending on the size of your group, but they always include a guide for the day and taxi service to and from the heli-lodge.
